Absolutely. You do not need any fishing experience to enjoy a trip with us. Our crew walks first-timers through everything, from how to hold a rod to how to fight a fish. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced anglers.
Yes. Kids are welcome as long as they are old enough to safely move around the boat. Offshore fishing is a great family experience, and our crew is happy to help younger anglers have a blast.
Speechless is located at Slip #92 at Pirate’s Cove Marina in Manteo, North Carolina. The address is 2000 Sailfish Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. When you turn into Pirate’s Cove, stay on the main road until you get past the first set of condos.
Arrival times vary depending on the season and trip type. We will send you specific details before your trip, but plan to arrive at the marina early enough to get settled before departure. Being on time is important because we want to maximize your time on the water.
All rods, reels, tackle, bait, fuel, and crew are included in the charter price. You do not need to bring any fishing equipment. The only additional cost is a customary mate tip of 18 to 20 percent, which is standard in the charter fishing industry.
Yes. We provide everything you need to fish, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses. Just show up ready to have a good time.
Bring food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and weather-appropriate clothing. Soft-soled shoes are recommended. You are welcome to bring a cooler with snacks and beverages, including alcohol (no glass bottles, please).
Yes. You are welcome to bring beer, seltzers, or other drinks for the trip. The only rule is no glass bottles on the boat for safety reasons.
No. The charter price covers everything you need for the trip, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, fuel, and crew. The only additional cost is a customary mate tip of 18 to 20 percent, which is standard across the charter fishing industry.
If you cancel 14 or more days before your trip, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel within 14 days of your trip, the deposit may be forfeited. We understand plans change, so reach out to us as early as possible if something comes up.
If Speechless cancels your trip due to weather or unsafe conditions, your deposit is fully refundable. You also have the option to reschedule to another available date. We will never take you out in conditions that put anyone at risk.
Yes. Captain Ron holds a USCG 100-Ton Master Captain license along with all required permits and certifications to operate offshore fishing charters in North Carolina waters.
Speechless is equipped with survival suits, a SOLAS-rated life raft, emergency communication equipment, flares, life jackets for every passenger, and fire suppression systems. Safety is never an afterthought on this boat.
